Sarah K.

Sarah is 17 years old and lives in the country of Uganda near the town of Kakiri.  Her mother died five years ago, and her father was recently imprisoned for 16 years for abusing her and one of her sisters.  She became despondent and shared her situation with a friend at school, which resulted in her father's imprisonment.   She is now living on her own with her three younger siblings, none of whom are in school.  Even a few more years of education could make a big difference in this young woman's life and help her to move on after being abused.  (Ref.
